Polar Holidays History

Our Story

At Polar Holidays, we’re passionate about sharing our love for the polar regions with travelers from all over the world. Founded in 2008, our team is made up of experienced and knowledgeable staff who have all traveled extensively in the Arctic and Antarctica.

Our founder, Thomas, has always been drawn to the world’s wildest and most remote places. As an avid mountain climber, he has summited some of the world’s highest peaks, including McKinley in Alaska, Aconcagua in Argentina, Kilimanjaro in Africa, and the North Ridge of Mount Everest. Along the way, he began taking photographs as a way to share the breathtaking beauty of these landscapes with others.

Today, Thomas and the rest of our team are dedicated to helping travelers plan their own polar adventures. From photographing polar bears in sub-zero temperatures to seeking emperor penguins, we’ve experienced it all firsthand and are always eager to share our knowledge and expertise. Our team of a dozen polar specialists has been to Antarctica and the Arctic region multiple times, a combined 100+.  We constantly check new ships, new destinations so we can recommend the trip that best suits YOUR needs.

Whether you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime cruise to Antarctica or an Arctic expedition to witness the Northern Lights, we’re here to help you plan the perfect trip. With our extensive experience and passion for the polar regions, we’re confident that we can help you create memories that will last a lifetime.  Send us an email or give us a call – we love talking about the ends of the earth!
