Cruise to Greenland

Visit Greenland on your Arctic cruise! The island is the largest on the plant, while also the least populated country in the world. The center of the island features ice as much as two miles wide, creating mountaineering opportunities unlike any other. Travelers may also see stunning fjords, large rolling valleys, and rugged mountains hugging the skyline. The wildlife onshore consists of muskoxen, polar bears, reindeer, birds, and more! Guests will likely see whales, seals, and seabirds while aboard the cruise ship. We recommend that guests pack a pair of binoculars for fantastic views of both the landscape and its wild residents. Historically, the island was first inhabited by Vikings, and Norse peoples. Following the Little Ice Age, their settlements disappeared. Nowadays Greenland is home to many Inuit peoples! The weather in the summer can reach up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, or 10 degrees Celsius in the Northern regions. Further South on the island, the temperatures can get up to almost 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or around 20 degrees Celsius. We recommend that guests pack layer-able clothing as the weather does fluctuate from cooler temperatures to warmer.
